Lara Keel

Lara Laneri Keel has over a decade of experience both in and around the Texas Capitol. Formerly a lobbyist with the state’s largest business group, the Texas Association of Business and Chambers of Commerce (TABCC), Mrs. Keel lobbied the Texas Legislature, state government, and U.S. Congress on critical employer issues. Prior to her tenure at TABCC, Keel worked in the Texas Senate specializing in state budget issues as well as health and human services and insurance issues. Mrs. Keel represents the interests of clients before state legislators, regulators, executive agencies and Texas policymakers. A native Texan who currently resides in Austin, Texas, Mrs. Keel is a graduate of Texas Tech University with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and a Minor in History. In 1997 Keel was selected to Power Pipeline, a group of emerging women leaders in the United States less than 35 years old.  Mrs. Keel currently serves as a Board Member to the Texas Conservative Coalition Research Institute.  For two consecutive years, Mrs. Keel has been named a "top five lobby star to watch" by Capitol Inside's Texas Lobby Power Rankings (January 2006 and 2007).
