Josh Meeks
Josh Meeks designs and executes advanced public affairs strategies, drawing on his successful experiences navigating the legislative process and serving the communications needs of political and issue campaigns. Mr. Meeks previously worked in the Texas Senate, where he served as communications director and legislative director for state Senator Kip Averitt, and as communications director for the Senate Committee on Natural Resources. Specializing in state budget and tax issues, water, air quality, and the promotion of public-private partnerships, Mr. Meeks helped develop and implement persuasive communications strategies designed to advance the Senator’s agenda. In addition, he managed media relations for the Senator on issues as diverse as health care, telecommunications, local government and law enforcement. Leveraging his previous work managing communications for political campaigns, Mr. Meeks successfully combines new and traditional messaging tools, including social media maximization. Prior to his work for the Texas Legislature, Mr. Meeks served as director of the Austin Writing Community, where he managed authors for freelance writing opportunities.
